LOOP
Current public transit is seen as unsafe, aesthetically barebone, and overly reliant on personal mobile devices. We sought to create a safer and more connected public transit experience through contribution and reciprocity.

Loop is a public transit navigation service that functions like a community bulletin board. It creates a safer, more connected public transit community through enabling contribution and easy access to navigation information for all. It’s available through a mobile app, kiosks in transit centers, and physical route cards.
Loop is focused on three main functions across touchpoints:
2. Increasing access to transit by providing communal and analog navigation tools.
3. Supporting community by featuring centralized events.
Between being able to inform your custom trusted contacts about your transit route and streamlined community contribution for unexpected delays or unsafe incidents, LOOP helps keep you and your community safe.
By placing large touchscreen panels at high-traffic transit centers, basic functions needed to use the bus or train become less intimidating. Additionally, the integration of route tickets allows for those without mobile devices to securely navigate the public transit system.
In addition to the navigation features the LOOP screens function as spaces for community engagement, connecting public transit with the broader community.
In the current transit application space, most apps are more utilitarian and functional. We wanted to introduce an element of playfulness into our brand system in order to enhance feeling welcoming.
I created all icons, illustrations, and animation for this project.
I’ve always been passionate about the importance of transit in our cities and beyond. This project taught me the importance of having a tangible throughline, particularly when tackling various physical forms.
